Prospect Tracking stores all the information in a data file situated by default, in:
C:\Program Files\Prospect Tracking\Data\
Note : The extension of Prospect Tracking data file is type 4DD.

Prospect Tracking can manage as many data files as you want.

By default the file is called Prospect Tracking, but you may choose another name.
This is almost inevitable if you manage several data files.

Management of Data files
If you wish to create a new data file or simply open another, other that the last once used, keep the image of the application window (a short time after the booting of Prospect Tracking), by holding down the
ALT key.

When the opening dialogue is displayed on the screen (release the ALT key).

From this screen you can:
·Open a data file of your choice by localising it beforehand, then clicking on the Open button.  
·Create a new data file, by clicking on the New button.  
 
Note : Prospect Tracking always memorised the last date file used.

Important note on the exploitation of the client/server mode.
This does not concern a single station exploitation of Prospect Tracking. In the context of Prospect Tracking being used in client/server mode, the choice of data files must be carried out when the 4D server is booted and not from the clients station.

Repairing a damaged data file
It is possible that a data file can be can be damaged following a sudden interruption of your system. To repair a damaged data file, refer to the section 'Utilities'.
