Prospect Tracking is made up of 3 hierarchical standards :

green bulletInformation Format: this is the beginning base of all actions and allows for:

·   Choose and open a file to work on
File/Open...
·   To adjust certain function modes of the software
File/Preferences...

The terms 'file' and 'index' as well as 'register' and 'record' are used equally in this documentation.

green bullet The list window allows you to see the main information of the index selected with the help of the 'Open' command. The records displayed in this window contain the 'current selection'.

It is important to note that all actions carried out (export, printing …..), are carried onto the totality of this selection, (therefore the number of records indicated in the title bar of the window) and not on the possible records underlined in reverse video.

Note : This is true except in the case where 'Delete' has been used, which intervenes only on the records that have been highlighted by the mouse.

The current selection is kept in the memory, until one of the functions listed below is used :

·   Multi criteria search,
·   Quick search,
·   Calculated search,
·   Show all,
·   Sub selection,
·   Exclusion.

green bulletThe edition form is, as such, a complete representation of the records selected. It allows you to update the information that you want or just to view them.

Each edition form generally has 3 buttons : validate, cancel and interrogation, and each one is known by its icon.

bt_ok The validation button is to register modifications made on the record. You can also use the RETURN or ENTER KEY on your keyboard like a shortcut validation.

bt_ok_suite A variant of the validation button, allows for the registration of the current registration and the automatic passage of the registration following in order of the current selection. This principle is particularly adapted to series updates on an existing selection. Keyboard shortcut Ctrl + RETURN.

bt_ok_impression 2° variant of the validation button, activates the printing. The keyboard shortcut is the same as that that replaces the validation button.

bt_cancel The cancel button closes the dialogue without taking into account the possible changes done. Keyboard shortcut _key_echap2.

bt_help The interrogation button allows you to obtain a contextual help (a direct connection with the window or dialogue with which you are working).

Shifting facilities
You can easily shift from one area to another (left to right, top to bottom) by using the TABULATION key, _key_tab1 or _key_tab2 depending on what keyboard you have.
By using the CAPITALS key _key_maj together with the TABULATION key, you can shift information from the right to the left, and bottom to top.
